New contracts on

the metro line

In a short period of time we have signed two contracts with Metroselskabet on establishing transfer facilities from the new metro line Cityringen to Nørrebro Station and Copenhagen Central Station. On both projects we draw on our many experiences with this type of work in tight spaces close to a railway in operation.

Work at Nørrebro Station progressing

The work at Nørrebro Station is progressing. In mid-March the earthworks for the two lifts and escalators began. Working in a dense and busy area with limited space poses special challenges. It takes a lot of care - both during planning and construction work. Nørrebro Station, built high above street level, is particularly challenging regarding noise emissions. We use two special designed work platforms surrounded by a 2.5 m high anti-noise screen to cut down noise.

Preparing for work at Copenhagen Central

At Copenhagen Central Station we will, in cooperation with Per Aarsleff A / S, connect the platform tunnel with the underground station of the metro and establish a lift connecting it with the central station’s main hall. The work is carried out under difficult conditions. Among other things we have to remove parts of the heritage protected station building and reinstalling them later, establish the tunnel connection to the metro station and build an elevator shaft under very narrow space and challenging groundwater conditions.

We have previously established 6 other lift connections at the main railway stations for the new metro station.
